Steven Riesenman
Managing Director
Steven Riesenman received his B.A. in Political Science and French at Washington and Jefferson College and his J.D. Degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He has done technical and backstage work for a variety of professional theatre productions in Charlottesville. He also brings to the theatre his experience in marketing and sales, and runs his own computer consulting business.
Frances C. Furlong
Artistic Director
Frances Furlong studied voice at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College in New York at age 16. She received a B.A. in Theatre Arts at Brown University, M.A. in Drama from UVA, an Ed. M in Arts in Education from Harvard, and is currently in the doctoral program in Gifted Education at The Curry School at UVA. Ms. Furlong has worked with the Looking Glass Theatre of Rhode Island; The Dorset Theatre Festival of Vermont; The Discovery Theatre of the Smithsonian Institution; Adventure Theatre of Glen Echo, Maryland; and the Community Children's Theatre of Charlottesville. "Francie" was awarded a 1990 scholarship from the Charlottesville chapter of the English-Speaking Union to study in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, at the Shakespeare Institute, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She was also a recipient of the 1991-92 Virginia Commission for the Arts Artist-In-Education Grant at Clark Elementary School in Charlottesville. Frances is certified in Virginia to teach English and Drama Education and is licensed to teach English and K–12 Theatre Arts. Frances is also a professional puppeteer and youth theatre stage director.

Puppet Shows
Puppet Shows at the Old Michie Theatre are BACK for Fall 2011! Performed on Saturdays at 11am, 2pm, and 4pm. A wonderful treat for younger audiences, our puppet shows are lively interpretations of classic stories. For more information, click here!
